This is a picture I did as a gift for my friend Trace who is a big fan of my work and an even bigger fan of Janis. So I did this for him.
My reference picture was all green and white, but he wanted me to show how fashionable and colorful this woman really was. So I took sharpies and drew simple black and white with different textures to exemplify her use of mixed textures in her clothes then did simple washes of bright bold colors in water color. I had a really really hard time with her skin color for some reason I couldn't mix a good color. Usually I'm pretty good I do that, so her face started peeling a bit from too much water XP. But it ended up being ok. I also handed it in as an art project. Got an A+. This project went very fast. Only a Few hours. |
